What is a Halotherapy Salt Room?
Salts used in a halotherapy salt room are safe and natural.
They are also:
Antibacterial
Anti-inflammatory
Antimicrobial (Kills microorganisms or stops their growth)
Disinfectant
Mucolytic (Makes Sputum thinner and less sticky, so it is easier to cough up)
Have you ever had a beach day and noticed how much easier you breathe? It’s the same concept only the dry salt air found in a halotherapy salt room is more effective than moist salt air that is in coastal air.
Our cell activity, energy and blood sugar levels are all affected by salt levels. Salt contains 84 elements and trace elements that are found in the human body.
Our halotherapy salt room is calming, soothing, and a great way to take some me time when you aren’t feeling your best.
We have also created a fun and safe halotherapy salt room for children - they get to play and get a therapeutic treatment at the same time.
The salt in both rooms make them very sterile environments. There is salt on the walls, floor, and of course, pumped through the air. So no need to worry about being in a room where people are coughing (which happens and that’s ok) - the salts will protect you from other infections.

Halotherapy salt room therapy for your lungs
If you have problems breathing or you are coughing without clearing your chest, inhaling particles of mineral salt and their negatively charged ions can alleviate your symptoms:
by reducing inflammation in your lungs
widening your air passages
mucus is cleared faster
residual tar, and allergens are thought to clear easier.
The salt acts as a natural cleaning agent allowing your lungs, and surrounding cells to take in more oxygen leading to more energy and improved immunity (great for athletes!).
People with allergens including Hayfever find it easier to deal with flare ups after sessions because the salt increases their antibodies and strengthens the immune system.
Halotherapy salt room therapy for your skin
Do you have?
Itchy, scaly skin
Skin that cracks & bleeds
Frequent spots/acne
Salt Therapy also benefits those with skin conditions such as:
acne
eczema
psoriasis
rosacea
rashes
The salt kick starts a regenerative process, acting as cleaning agent.
It is anti-inflammatory and equips your body with the ability to fight off external allergens and increase anti-bodies.
Because you are inhaling these healing salts, it will also boost your immune system to deal with your skin condition.
This is great for auto-immune diseases such as psoriasis or eczema.
Unlike the salt at your dinner table, mineral salts are moisturising, and improve it’s barrier).
The skin’s protective properties can be improved by the micro-particles of the salt used in salt therapy.
pH levels are balanced out, and it also helps the skin to rejuvenate and regenerate into healthy cells.
*please note it is recommended for skin conditions that a higher and more aggressive dose of salt is used regularly to see visible results (to that of respiratory issues).
Symptoms of stress, insomnia and depression have all found to be reduced with regular Salt Therapy.
Salt Therapy - Origins
Also known as Halotherapy (Halo is Greek for salt), it originates from ancient times as being recognised to alleviate and/or reduce the likelihood of having symptoms with particular respiratory/breathing problems and skin conditions, as well as improving general health. (Please note, medical advice from your Doctor should always be sought in regards to medications).
It is said that Hipprocrates (Father of medicines, Greek Physician 460BC) recognised it’s benefits and encouraged it’s implementation to improve health. It was later observed that workers in the Polish Salt Cave Wieliczka, were less likely to suffer with respiratory illnesses (Full findings of the research was published in ‘About the Breathing of Salt Dust, 1843, Felix Boczkowsk).
